Mission
Kōkasoku exists to help developing clubs and countries grow together. We share experience, seek paths to international tournaments, and build a space that is comfortable both for competitive players and those who simply love riichi mahjong.
We don't build a hierarchy — we build a network.
Principles and Guidelines
We don't have a strict set of rules — rather a set of principles and guidelines we follow.
For easy integration with the portal, we recommend using Pantheon for club games and tournaments. However, other systems can be used by agreement — the key is that data can be easily imported into the common rating.
We welcome respectful treatment of all participants and prefer to think about how to improve the situation rather than assign blame.
We do not support promoting riichi mahjong as gambling. If we discover such activity, we will raise the question of excluding the club or country from the portal.
We have no conflicts with organizations participating in other structures — EMA, WRC, or any others. At least as long as it doesn't create conflicts in distributing quotas for international tournaments for member countries.
We strive to use modern tools and move forward rather than postpone decisions based on bureaucratic norms.
How to Join
To join Kōkasoku as a country or club, please provide the following information:
- Tournaments held, if any.
- Club rating, if maintained.
- A public page or contact where players who want to play in your city or country can be directed. If there are multiple contacts — send them all.
- Contact of a club or organization representative — they will be added to the shared representatives chat.
- Player profiles on Tenhou and Mahjong Soul, if available.
- Wishes and ideas are also welcome. But it's fine without them too.
